How to cook
Cuisines: each cuisine stocks the kitchen with its own ingredients. Pick one at the top of the menu.
Drag food and containers around. Pans, pots, plates and bowls live on the wall — drag them down to the counter or the stove.
Pour by holding a jar, bottle or container over another container. Pouring starts after a moment; let go when you have enough. The amount is shown as you pour.
Eggs: drop one into a bowl or pan, then click it to crack it. A boiled egg can be clicked to peel.
Utensils hang on the wall. Click one to pick it up, then:
spoon / whisk — hold the mouse on a pot or bowl to stir or whisk ·
spatula — click food in a pan to flip it, hold to stir ·
tasting spoon — click a dish to taste it ·
ladle — click a pot or bowl to scoop, then click (or drag to) where it should go: a pot of soup gives a bowlful, a thick batter or curd dough gives one dollop, so you can fry syrnyky or deruny side by side or drop dumplings into boiling water ·
knife (on the cutting board) — click or hold on food on the board; more chops = finer pieces.
Right-click or Esc puts it down.
Stove: click the right half of a knob to turn the heat up, the left half to turn it down (or scroll).
Sink: put a pot in the sink and click the tap to fill it. Hold a pot over the empty sink to drain the liquid — the solids stay in.
Toaster: drop bread in, press the lever. The dial sets how dark.
Mixing: whisking a bowl turns liquids, powders, cracked eggs and anything grated or minced into one batter.
Compost: drop food on it, or drop a container on it to empty it.
Serve: put the finished dish on the serving tray and ring the bell. Your guest only judges the food — not the steps you took.
